98 Tacoma 2WD 2rz-fe- Wiper Fluid Pump U-Shaped Joint Hose

So I bought my 98 Tacoma SR5 XtraCab and the guy told me the washer fluid won’t hold fluid and will leak out everywhere.

Once I went under there and checked everything out, I noticed a hose was disconnected underneath that goes into the pump. There was a rubber U-shaped joint elbow attached to a white plastic connector that then went into the hose. I inspected it and noticed it was cracked in many places and I tried to repair it using super glue to see if it would at least seal the cracks long enough until I could find the proper part from Toyota since for some reason the specific piece was discontinued and was then super-ceded by another set of connectors.


This is what the U-shaped joint looked like(after attacking it with super glue) and this has been discontinued.

Just so that you know, I had to make three separate trips three separate days to Toyota just to find this information because it is not widely known by the parts guys there based on their computer system that allows them to look up the diagrams and what exactly each part number is on every single component. In their “up-to-date” diagrams it still showed the U-joint but it showed about 5 different options because there are two different styles of washer hoses/reservoir routing so I had to figure it out for myself by looking at their screen and deducing it all based off the way the parts appeared and for the tight space there is in that area if you have the plastic shield there in front of the reservoir. $17 for the two and three days wasted waiting. 20mins install and it’s working perfect.
