Hey guys I got a 98 Toyota Tacoma 2wd sr5 2.4l and on summer days when it's warmer the dash rattles when idling. It's a mix between a rattle and a buz from vibration. It can be stopped if you push down on the dash in the middle near the back. The second you let go it starts again. Any idea what this could be? It's very annoying! Thanks

Yeah common problem in tacomas haha, people usually just find something to slid between the window and dash or it could be your defrost vents rubbing on the bottom of the dash

3 inch piece of rubber tubing wedged between the top of the dash and the window fixed it for me.

2012 Tacoma TRD Sport 4X4, I've had the same rattle for the last 2 years, (at idle in drive at a stop, sounded like it was coming from the dash or firewall), was driving me nuts. I finally took apart my aftermarket CAI (Air Raid) and underneath it I could clearly see where a silver metal line (I'm guessing the Freon return line for the air conditioning) had been hitting on the metal of the engine compartment and had even worn away the paint. A couple of zap straps later and she doesn't make a sound.....so relieved, hope anyone who is experiencing this noise has an easy of a fix as mine was.
