98 TACOMA SEATS

Hello everyone,

The Driver Seat (cloth seat) of my 98 Tacoma V6 4x4 is tearing down and I don't like it. I found a pair of seats for sale online, but they came from a 96 4Runner.

If I can't replace with the 4runner ones, can I replace with any of the seats from 95 1/2 to 04 Tacoma, either V6 or 4 Cylinders and 4x4 or 2x4? Are they the same?

I just would like to get some ideas from you guys to see I can replace mine with those seats. Please give me some advices and subjections if you can.

 

I put a set of 4runner seats in my Tacoma, all that was required was a bit of massaging of the mounts, a couple of washers and they bolted right up.

 

i know a lot of 3rd gen 4runner guys that would do sexual favors for a good set of 4runner seats.

 

just make sure the rear inside mount connects to the side of the hump and not the floor and they will work.

all it requires is you drill out or grind off the front outside mount foot by the door and replace it with the one from your old seat and its a perfect match.

after you swap feet use a nut and bolt to replace the missing rivet and its good (and as safe) as factory.
