When you say wont crank your refering to the motor wont turn over by the starter correct? Have you had the batter checked? Autozone will do it for free.

Even when the engine is at operating temperature you still have a failure to crank

With the Air temperature below 60 degrees??

    Auto or manual ?

A battery not able to crank at 60 degrees would it work at all?

Unless the temperature is just a random thing.

Move to S Florida. Sorry, too easy.

Does it start when you jump it? If so, seems your battery is most likely bad. Most auto parts stores will load test it for you.

If it won't start by jumping, then probably the temp thing is a coincidence.

if the battery checks out OK then the cables, power and ground, are not good anymore. I decent shop can check the voltage drops for you. As the copper in the cables age they build up corrosion on the outside of each small strand... the electrons flow on the outside of the wire. Ill bet that if you were to hold the positive lead and have someone crank it over when cold you will feel it heat up or maybe even jump a little.
