98 tacpma 2.4 missing badly

    98 tacoma 2wd 5 lug 2.4
    i ust got a 98 taco with a 2.4 check engine light was on i read the codes and they where 3 codes miss fire cylder 1,2 3 and lean condition... reset the light and swapped out the plugs and the plug wires and it still runs badly and missing and popin when you try to drive it i pulled a plug and it smelled like gas........

    Sounds like the little modulator you plug the spark plugs into....my buddies 2.7L went bad and the same thing happened.
