Do you think you might have a grounding issue? I’d start looking into the aftermarket stuff first.

I did have a ground wire missing and I'm on my3rd alternator also replaced the alternator plug ,it seems like the fuse box may have something to do with it,I had a new battery and it ran until the battery died,I had it running and I took the cable off and it did not cut off until I turned on the headlights

Tabitha, attached is the charging circuit for your truck. You want to check the 2 fuses first. The 80 amp ALT fuse is in the engine compartment fuse box and is bolted in. Not to difficult of a job. The ALT-s fuse needs to be checked too. Accept my apologies in advance… do you know how to use a test light and/or a voltmeter?

If you turn the headlights on, the Blower stops working?

You also unhooked the charging cable from the battery, and the truck ran until you turned the headlights on?
    Is this Correct?

    Hmmm
    This is a interesting one
    -2nd alternator
    Let’s start there
-multiple electric circuits/systems involved as well

as the alternator has a cable that goes to fuse box…..check there first

I just looked at my fuse box(96 2.4L)
Has clipped in top cover/mid section/clipped in lower cover

    Unbolt fuse box
De-clip the lower cover and inspect
Hopefully u can see melting of wires/cut or chewed wires…..some kind of ‘weirdness’
Causing jumping of current from lights to blower to whatever
    GL
    Please update everyone !
