This ain't for the faint of heart or the weak of stomach.

Having said that...I won't deny that I had to take very deep breaths a few times along the way in order not to faint :D It is an insanely big project.

And this shit ain't cheap:eek: But it is totally worth it. Just like many things in life, when you put your heart into something or someone, it does not matter how hard you have to work or the struggles along the way because ultimately it all brings you happiness and satisfaction. Worth every penny and headache lol

Been following the build. Ready to see it wheeling. I was wondering where you got your 14 bolt to Toyota flange. Was it high angle? I need one asap.

Actually, I did not do the 14bolt-to-toyota flange conversion.

I have a late model 14bolt that came with factory disk brakes and ebrake already in it, as well as the bigger factory 1410 yoke. My builder persuaded me to keep the that yoke instead, as that what he uses in his KOH rig, which handles a brutal amount of abuse and has never broken one. So that kind of convinced me to keep the 1410 :D They converted my rear drive shaft to accept it.

Hope I don't regret it, but jeez...if he has not broken a 1410 racing the Hammers, I really do not see how in the world I'll ever break that doing recreational wheeling.

I do have a toyota flange in my D60 though. That one I got from poly performance and it was slightly over 100 bucks with shipping.

Also, no wheeling pics for the time being as I am deployed on a mission overseas :annoyed:

Thanks for the info. I'm leaning more toward keeping the yoke in the 14 bolt. One last question, does your atlas output have a 1410 too?

Had a few people asking me questions about the Atlas.

Yes, it fits without having to cut your cab floor. This is a side pic; impossible to tell the Atlas is even there. It fits just exactly where the factory tcase was; and I mentioned before, it actually sits a bit higher. But this is the 2spd Atlas, can't really say if you can tuck the 4spd as high without cutting the floor.

And yes...you can do 1 tons and 40"s and fit your truck into a regular one car garage :D However, the top of the cab cleared the garage door by 1" Not a big deal really, you can always deflate your tires for additional clearance.

Do you know what size trailer that is? I am about to buy one and that looks to be the perfect size for our trucks

    Gonna have to wait.

I'm deployed right now with the Army. That's why I am posting so much BS on the forums LOL :D

It's not as big as it seems actually haha

I really dunno. I wish I had one of those too! With smaller tires and narrower axles it would actually be a perfect fit for our trucks.

Those are trail gear 5" springs. They look like the allpro springs I used to have prior to the SAS and have an insane amount of flex.

My friend is putting his SAS toyota up for sale.

This is the truck that started it all for me. After seeing what my friend could do with his truck on the trails I wanted to do a SAS on my tacoma.

This is the rig I would be driving now if I didn't build my reg cab. It has everything I wish I had in mine, ESPECIALLY the V8/auto combo and the front/rear link suspensions. I offered to buy it from my friend before I started doing my SAS. But it wasn't for sale back then! So I moved forward with my project.

This is a really cool toyota. It is a rock crawler but it has a very clean look. With the V8 and auto tranny it really has a strong low end with plenty of power for the highway and crawls great. It can be driven on the street as it is a dual purpose rig.

Links front/rear, V8, auto, custom gauge cluster, internal roll cage, the list goes on. It is a serious rig for a serious wheeler.

    Dude!

Those pictures are from where I grew up! Was he just wheeling there, or is he local?

I wish I could pounce on this...

    No doubt!

I'm almost positive that those were taken in southwest Utah; likely near Sand Hollow Reservoir.
