99 3.4 Supra MAF mod

This is how I have it wired looks like my yellow wire is in the wrong place according to yours and the other schematic is the one my buddy sent me.

In the 15+ years I've owned Tacomas, I've never heard of this mod before. I mean, how much HP could this possibly add, like 2? Maybe?

Maybe a before/after dyno test would convince me otherwise...

 

It is about 15-20hp when tuned.

You can gain the same power by swapping to a 99+ MAF.

OP - do you have a tuner? if so, you will have to adjust all the fuel trims to make up for the much smaller MAF, or swap to a 99+ MAF.

 

I've heard stickers give you that much hp. got dyno results are are these "seat of the pants" estimates?

 

The truck is a 99 so I’m assuming it has the 99+ maf. It does have a tuner @elnip said I have the smt6 maf picky back. He actually helped build the truck from the previous owner.

I assume you have a V6 99 auto, correct?

I know should I place soder on it or liquid tape. I believe it still has a strong connection @Brice

Seems they are different pinouts...

 

If it has the tuner, it will need to be re-tuned for the different MAF
