When and did a small easy shakedown run to see what needs to be done...wheel well up front needs chopping at firewall, 37s hit so 40s will kill it...
Definently need to remember to bring air chuck, I didn't air down ran 30psi....all terrains suck for that btw....
List front locker due to damaged air line...repaired it now but some of the stuff with 30psi and no front locker was a pia...

Here's a view of the pacific ocean...you could see Catalina if looking slightly north....

This is a rock line I'm putting together...need one big rock for driver side middle and it will be flop alley....

Then another line we goof off on...nothing hard or major bit a good place to find things that need work before hitting the big boy trails...

I thought the current LC was my last project. Although I have built a couple LC's, an 88 4runner and regret selling all I have yet to build a Toyota truck.
Wife could care less, the kids are grown and we are empty nesters so, I will need more shop therapy. Right?
Love the 44 axle. I have measured my current LC build to get away from the Birfields and would be a nice fit....then comes the crossover steering. I ended up going with chromily and never swapped it.
I have been debating whether to sell the LC due to the flushing the toilet sound of the 3FE when I drive....horrible mileage with the added weight of the armor.

    Hows the motor condition?

    LOVE the 5vze
With 4:88s it moves well and with the 40s on it it goes good....
Strong reliable decent gas mileage and trust it....that's the best part...gas and go.

Made some sliders for the rear sides and will finish them up...don't like the single bar design so will beef it up...

Interesting bed sliders, do they tie into the bed or the frame? Planning to pc them?

    They tie into both...
They lock to the sliders n frame...then in 3 places they go to the cage which will be tied OK to frame by urethrane bushing and metal bungs...
Need to figure out what to do where they slant down....

That's the part I'm not to set on, other option is to make tube fenders squared off like I do on keep jk's.....front and rear.
I do bedsides like that even on the jeeps...hers my jeep I just sold...built it all....

This will give you some idea of what I'll do with the Toyota...it'll be a full custom build...

OK maiden voyage is under its belt...went to johnson valley and ran chocolate thunder and sledgehammer at tinbenders....
Did amazing even with 37" bfg all terrains air down to 4 psi....

Built a skid system for the underside, rear cage for tire and c02 tank, and s.capped some 40" km2's ON....

Cant say I'm the biggest fan of it, but the work and design you have put in is great. I'm sure your proud when people come up an ask about it!

How much higher is your front than your rear? Any reasons for such?

Not my doing I need to rebuild the spring pack and it will be level...not too mention he cut the front fender up a lot more than rear so it looks that way a bit even when I level it...im looking for new fenders as well...

Twostroketrush: .....agreed....As far as not a fan of the build, the walk through wouldn't have been my choice but price was right so I'll modify from there's..I'd prefer to put the wall back in and have a truck...then build a tube rear and go from there....
