99 Tacoma build TRD OFF ROAD

here is my roll bar!! it not bolted down yet. might have to cut holes in my bed liner or just remove the liner, not sure what im doing yet.

Im thinkin maybe you need some spacers under the rear mounts to tilt it a little closer to the cab.

 

yeah im making some this weekend right now its just ratchet strapped down and it looks fine but it not touching the fenders. once i get the bed liner out and put a spacer it will look fine

 

well my OME clutch finally burnt out at 207,xxx on 9/15/12. i was all loaded up and ready to make the drive from richmond to winchester (2 1/2 hours) was getting on the high way and could not get the truck over 50.. the kid i am having no idea whats going on i get off the next exit and check everything out.. cant see anything wrong start heading back to the house the back way as im driving the truck was loosing it more and more not being able to get over 20 finally the truck gave out about 5 mins away from my mothers house. had the leave the truck in a random neighborhood with it loaded with random junk for a yard sale..(don't care about) and my new roll bar and tool box just setting in the bed. next day i got the truck to move a mile down the road to a guy who said he could fix it quick and cheap around 500. after looking at it he told me 1400... NO WAY. i have a guy here in winchester who is doing it for 600 but the only problem was the truck is in richmond and towing would be crazy. i got lucky and my mom who has triple A let me pay to extend her plan ($22) to have a 200 mile free tow. so the truck is getting towed up here today or tomorrow 9/28/12 and will be getting worked on by a non crazy mechanic.


(all this set me back on getting a brush guard. so iv decided against it and plan on treating myself to a front bumper for christmas )

 

got a new clutch kit and flywheel put in!! total coast after helping the guy put it in came to $590 only got one picture cause once i got started my hands were covered in grease and didnt want to touch my phone.

 

washed the truck took a couple pics sorry for the shitty phone pictures my galaxy s III fell off a counter and broke 5 hours after having it

craigslist! i just kept checking everyweek for one at a good price and believe it or not after 2 months i just came across one black with the 4 off road light mounts that fits my truck. did care about the double tube but i like it. (only $50)

 

Damn that's cool,,,, I need to start shopping on Craigslist

 

hauled some junk for my grandma


got some HID headlights and put them in pretty easy. im happy so far.

 

put a bumper on till i can afford a plate bumper. still need to weld a skid on.


ill get a better picture tomorrow

 

installed my PIAA lights on the new bumper. also did the blinker light mod

 

got shaded headlight covers. but they effect my headlights a lot at night. so iv been taking them off at night. my skid is being made

 

looks pretty cool, they just snap on?

 

yeah just snap on very quick and easy

 

made and welded on my own light mounts on the underside of the roll bar and installed lights

 

Im diggin the bumper dude! I definitely have that on my list of mods to get rid of my cheesy brushguard.
