I've got a 99 TRD that I have some front axle questions about. The CV boots are shot and I am going to replace both axles as well as the wheel bearings while I'm at it.

I've noticed some slop where the axles go into the Diff. I'm having a hard time locating a schematic or diagram of this and my Chilton manual doesn't break it down like I think it should.

My question to you guys is: Will replacing the axles eliminate this slop or are there bearings in there that I need to replace as well? I looked at a diff rebuild kit but I don't think I need to go that extreme. If there are bearings, where can I find just those and not the complete diff rebuild kit?

    Thanks.

Looks like I've found what is listed at "outer differential bearing, Front" and "front axle shaft bearing".

What is the difference in these?
