99 Tacoma Prerunner 2.7 Automatic - How long does the Engine and Tranny Last?

    Hello all. Im just curious as to how long these engines and trannys last? I have 217K currently and engine still runs strong. not sure about my tranny though. is there a way to tell if the tranny is nearing end of life? the way it shifts or anything I can tell if its almost done?

    Same with the engine. Are there any signs of near end of life? Or when the engine blows will it just be a sudden thing or will it run like crap first?

    How long does the engine and tranny generally last? Thanks !! :)
