There are no showers, just toilets (without running water). You need to bring all the food and drinks. Unless you go into town there is nothing on the dunes.

Maybe some weights or buckets to help hold the tent down. Tent stakes don't work well in the sand. Also its usually windy.

I think its still $10 a night to camp. You will want to air down after entering to about 15 or 20 psi to get traction in the sand. There are gas stations near by to air up when you are leaving.

Depends on what you need. Closest gas station from the beach is about a mile. There's little shit available right off the beach at the little stop-and-rob. Downtown Oceano is about 2 miles from the beach.

There's 950 of 1000 reservations still left. I'd say you're safe to just get it there when you arrive....least for now.

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
There is a Rite-Aid for essentials in town (Oceano), a Walmart in Grover Beach(farther into town). Closest gas station I believe is a 76 on Paso Robles St..it's about a mile and a half into Oceano.

Like everyone else said there is a liquor store about 200 feet from the entrance of the dunes. Also a little coffee/smoothie place too.

Nothing on the beach, except on the weekends and busy Holiday weeks/weekends..then the store trailer is at Mile 1..right where the OHV area only starts. They have like shirts, drinks, snacks, repair supplies, basic tools, etc.

I'd air down to about 12psi. You can pay the guy $1 a tire to fill up before you hop on the street(hes located right on otherside of OHV access only sign usually)...or bring your own air compressor/power inverter. If not, closest air is 1.5 miles into town(76 station)

You only need to reserve spots for:
Thanksgiving(year in advance usually for a good spot)
    Christmas/New Years
    4th of July
    Labor Day
and Fathers Day is packed usually too.

P.S. Thanksgiving is the BEST time to go..there are alot of hot rides and chicks out :D

I have a 20 lb. nitrogen tank, but usually i just go to the Chevron to get gas and air up at the same time.

The air is free and there are 4 hoses at each pump.
