kevin what time are you guys leaving on Friday? Should we all meet up and cruise down together?

 

Yea we are. Just meet up with Bryce, Jake and I.

 

Anyone else have a CB? I'll be leaving early Saturday morning from Santa Cruz. Is there a caravan from the bay area?

 

I'll be headed down early Saturday morning as well. Not sure if there's a caravan or not...sorry didn't read the whole thread I'm in San Jose and yes I have a CB.

 

I will also be leaving saturday morning. Alvin we should caraban and then meet with 05sctaco somewhere. or maybe he can meet us somewhere past gilroy. i think he's probably taking 101 somewhere there unless he wants to drive here to san jose and start the drive here. what do you guys think? And if we do caraban what time are you guys thinking in leaving?

 

I can meet you at the 101 In and Out burger in salinas it's right off the free way, or at the BK in prundale, I'll be headed towards 101 going south on one and connecting from prundale to 101 south. Fastest way for me to go, and won't be using precious gas to do a loop.

 

I would like to get to Pismo by 10am, It's about a 2 1/2hr drive from santa cruz.

I'm really hmm and hannn about going. Since I'll have my daughter, I don't want her getting bored and wanting to leave. Jason, you bringing your kids? Anyone else bringing kids? My girl is 11 and not so dirt adventurous. I think I scared her away from mountain biking, not sure if she'll like an ATV.

What time are boys leaving San Jose? I might actually drive down Friday night, stay at a cheap motel 6, play Sat., drive home that night.

What Should the "To Bring" List include?

*Small Air compressor
*Bracket for tail whip (Where to buy. Type). I dont know what the flags look like
*Owners Manual. Funny thing. I dont know how to operate the 4WD. LOL!
Full Face helmet and moto gear for ATV riding. I'm assuming I can rent a full face for my daughter. What's typical rental fee for an ATV.

They get Motel 6 nearby? or other cheap place. If I bring my dog, would she be okay in the car while we dune around? She sometimes gets nervous from the rough movement.

 

TO DO LIST:
* Small air compressor is not really necessary. ive been out 10 plus times to pismo since i live here and i dont use mine. i just drive down grand avenue and they have free air there.
*Bracket for whip is not needed lookie here!



*Hotels, i have no idea about that. might be one in pismo beach which is about a 10 minute drive from oceano.
*Rentals, i think they charge by the hour. I could be totally wrong though. Hope i could hlep you out man

 

Gear can be rented. I reccomend boots, helmet, goggles at minimum. Boots will save your ankles, people who have never rode a quad tend to want to take their feet off. No.no.on quads. Even myself forgets sometimes whem I hop.on my quad after riding the bike.
There is a motel 6 in oceano/grover beach.
Whips can be.bought at sport store on left or right before ranger station entrance.
Dunes can be rough but if your.just cruising around, she should be fine.

 

Do you have a 2m radio too?
