I’m thinking I may have time Thursday to get the cam gears, and throttle body in. I’m still trying to decide if I’m gonna put the headers on or wait until all of the exhaust is ready. I kinda wanted to wait till I had everything, but I’m pretty sure I don’t have the patience.

    :annoyed:

Lol, I might..... but I doubt I’ll have time this trip home. First time I’m off during summer is always crazy lol. I was lucky to sneak in C&C between swimming, camping, mowing, and the MMA gym.

Yeah, I’m guilty of being that dad lol.

On another note. Justin just informed everyone that the specified 3* of timing wasn’t machined correctly so he is having them redone. It will be a while for those..... so maybe headers if I get time.

Guilty as charged, with the way my work schedule is done, we tend to have a lot going on for my days off. If my ARP studs get here I’ll probably have time to get them done.

I’m a construction signalman for Union Pacific. I travel around and install pretty much anything electrical on the railroad, from crossings, to switches, and obviously signals lol.

I saw where the ls1 kit was pretty much perfect for our trucks with a few extras, figured it was a good call since mine are 11 years old.

That’s one of the benefits of being gone for 8 days at a time, I have plenty of time laying in a hotel room at night to think and buy things...

And USPS has let my exhaust studs sit in Austin for 2 days.... they never fail to disappoint. I actually have time to play for a bit today, but I can’t thanks to them.

Had plans to install the headers today, but I opened the hardware pack and noticed there were no gaskets.... I figured for the price URD would include them, guess not. I’ve got some fel-pros on order that will be here Tuesday.

Since that didn’t work out, I figured I might as well throw the 70mm throttle body in. Super simple install, went great. Just a quick trip down the driveway felt good, looking forward to hooking the computer up and getting some logs to see the difference. I’m pretty sure the big gain is from being freshly cleaned and a good ECM reset, but oh well lol.

Also got the fourth hand bed cover I picked up yesterday adjusted. It’s not perfect, but I’m thinking I’m liking the idea of a bedcover, so this will be a great test for the money. Now to get it cleaned up good.

Hoping the next time I’m off I can get the headers on, I should finally have all the parts. And with any kind of luck get enough practice welding stainless I can start playing with the exhaust from the Y-pipe back.
