Could I use this for the edge on the bottom of my leer cap or will it be too thick?

The edge trim is intended for sheet metal, so any thicker won't work. I do carry trim for flares, which will fit over material that is 1/8" thick. How thick is the lip on the cap?

I don't have that in stock, but can get it for you. What length do you need?

The "edge trim" is meant for sheet metal and the "fender flare trim" is meant for the flares which are around an 1/8" thick. The edge trim will not go over anything thicker than the sheet metal.

Hey man wanted to get some trim for my fender/fender flare trim. Is there different thickness for the sheet metal/the plastic flare?

Yes, there are two separate edge trims. Both can be found here.

this stuff is amazing a bit hard to get on but if you work with it enough it does the trick! I put it on the border of my bed rail attachable accessory panel for my camper sleeping platform

I'm glad it worked for you needs. That's a pretty cool accessory panel.
