A/C blinking light

Hey guys. My A/C was blinking. I shut off the system amd turned it back on and it stopped blinking. I am seeing a lot talk about the A/C pickup sensor. Should i just start there?

 

Check also to make sure the AC clutch is working right, mine blinked like that when my clutch was about to go.

If it's still the factory ac clutch/compressor you're probably about due for one by now.

 

Start with the magnetic clutch relay, easiest and cheapest fix, then go to the pick up sensor if that doesn’t solve your problem.

Any rain involved during this event?

Only time thus far in my ownership when my AC light blinked was while driving in a torrential downpour, with water pooling all over the road. Turned off AC, waited until it subsided to a light shower and roads cleared off. Turned it back on with no issues since, and that was 3 years ago.
