I'm at the atm machine today with the a/c running. As I start to leave, I slightly turn the wheel and hear this loud clunking or thunking noise coming from the drivers side. I stop and can still hear it. I decide to turn off the a/c and it goes away. I drive off, turn the a/c on and hear nothing.

Any ideas what it could be. My a/c has never seemed right or very cold since I bought it a few years ago. Could my compressor or clutch be going out or something else.
