Need help! This my first thread and new to Tacomaworld! I bought new ac compressor and instructions are talking about dumping oil out of comp, and putting new oil in, question is what oil do I need? Is this comp a swash plate type or through vane type? Different oils for each type! Confused and can't find any info on this compressor

If I'm not mistaken the refrigate has oil in it.

no it doesn't, but when its in operation, the oil circulates through the system carrying a thin film of oil with it

Anybody know which oil I need for this particular comp? Does it matter? Are the 2 different oils that much different?

Grey wire and keyless entry. I like stock.
Like the pic shows up top. Drain all oil out of the compressor into a measuring cup that reads in ounces. Turn the pump by hand while you do this as the compressor will hold some until you turn it to release the rest. Then pour back in the correct amount out of that measuring cup. Install, pull vacuum (Azone's vac and gauges work really well), recharge and be happy you didn't pay to have a shop do this simple procedure.
