    Check build thread!
You know I thought the same, then my diff breather got clogged with mud and sand and shit and cost be 80 bucks to replace. I should’ve just done the breather. It’s not necessarily water ingress, it’s more about not allowing shit into it.

I just put a piece of 3/4 inch heater hose over the short drain tube and zip tied it to the frame and let it hang down to just below the frame. I did the same thing to my Yukon where it was dripping directly on top of a u-joint. It’s not a pointless mod if that’s what you want to do. If you don’t think it’s needed then DON’T DO IT !!!

Seriously though, I just looked at the crossmember on my 23 dc sport and it looks painted with possibly an anti rust paint?

I started to do the mod last night, but I didn't like any of the hose routing options. Going over the cab mount put the hose in contact with the body where it could rub the paint. Anything inside the frame was too close to the exhaust in my opinion. Outside the frame didn't seem convenient. The best route outside the frame would be to go down the back corner of the wheel well, just in front of the cab mount. But that would require a 90 degree bend, and I don't want to kink the soft hose.

The stock outlet is right next to the exhaust, so I hope that is warm enough to dry out any condensation.

Maybe a copper tube would be a better material to use.

Are you saying it is no longer a cheap mod I'm proud of?
