I added a spal pusher fan in front of the condenser. I took power from the a/c fuse in the box under the hood. I assumed the fan would only operate when the a/c was turned on. Not so, it powers on when the fan switch inside is turned on, heat or a/c. Where can I get power to accomplish my goal?
    Thanks for any help.

Why do you need an auxiliary fan, particularly in VA?

There is only 1 wire you can tap into to accomplish your goal. That's the purple wire that goes from the output of the MG CLT relay to the AC clutch.

Your fan needs to be on it's own relay. You shouldn't power the fan directly off the MG CLT relay.

Nice. Might I suggest using the tap to turn on a relay rather than adding the fan load to that existing circuit.

Thanks. That was my intended meaning. I added a few words to make it more clear.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the diagram as well. I'll get on that this weekend.

Can I access the purple wire by removing the fuse box from the fender and finding the wire underneath? Thanks

If that's where the relay is located...

Got it, sometimes can't see the forest for the trees. Thanks for the simplification.

Well, I don't get it. These replies and the manual I bought show a purple wire coming from the ac clutch. Got to the clutch and there is a black wire going to ground and a red wire going somewhere. No other wires visible. Where is the purple wire? Thanks for your patience.

The red/white wire is the sensor wire on the compressor. It lets the AC amplifier know that the compressor is turning/not turning.

Thanks Muddinfun but I still need the purple wire to splice into to power the condenser fan. I can't find it.

It’s got to be there somewhere. I’m not near my truck, or I’d look.

Giving up on the purple wire. I'll run a switch to the dash , then through a relay to the fan.

If you look down behind and below the alternator, you will see a 3 wire connector mounted to the compressor. 2 are for the sensor and 1 is for the clutch. The ground for the clutch is just a little short wire bolted to the compressor.
It’s horrible to get your hand down in there. From underneath the truck, you can see where the wires enter the clutch near the pulley. My clutch wire is orange. I couldn’t see what color the wires are at the 3 wire connector.

At that connector, it’s terminal 1.

If you want to go underneath, here’s the clutch wires.
