A/C drip mod kit….

Hey all, I talked with @Vorra65 a few days ago about trying this and seeing if it worked on a 2nd gen. I'm happy to say that this works with my 09' and took almost no effort to install.
Heres how I did it...(Sorry about the partial lack of pictures)

1. I first connected the included hose to the adapter and put the zip tie on. Tighten it up as much as possible. Cut the excess zip tie.

2. I then slipped the zip tie on the end of the new hose and slid it down to the adapter and put it into position. Make sure to not make the loop to small or else you will not be able slip it on just like I did on my first try.

3. I unhooked the top right splash guard pin and then tightened the zip tie on the adapter and make sure to have it as tight as possible. Cut the excess zip tie off. Re attach the splash guard.

4. Then I un hooked the lower splash guard pin and I zipped tied the hose to the foil wrapped hose behind the splash guard. Cut the excess zip tie off. Re attach the splash guard.

5. Run the hose out the back and run it towards the mud flap.

6. Then I ran it to the end of the arm coming off the frame. I then zip tied the hose around the end of the arm. I ran one zip tie through the 2 big holes on the very end. I ran another one through the little hole in the center of the arm about an inch or so inwards.

7. Step back and enjoy less rust.

I'm planning on getting a little longer of a hose next year when its warmer and run it down the frame a little more to where it is out of site yet still in a convenient to attach spot.

So all in all I'm happy with it. Vorra was nice when I spoke with him and he makes a great kit.

 

Glad it all worked out, as I has said I never did this mod to my 14 TRD. So yah, glad to see the kit works on the gen 2’s as well

Got my items quick! Had to get a metal clamp as the fitting kept sliding off even with the zip tie.

Nice review brother, glad you like the kit. If those zip Ty’s don’t work out, try the re-route to the outside of the frame tucked behind the splash guard…..

5 month update:

This was the first mod I did to my 2021 TRD OR. Happy to report that through all the other mods and all the time I have spent under the truck doing the lift, skids, bumper and everything else, the hose is still firmly in place and sending water from the drain safely out the bottom of my truck and not on the frame.
