A/C Issue

    '96 base 4 cylinder Tacoma standard bed
    Added ARE fiberglass raised cap & Sony CD head-unit w' aux-input
    It's probably not the heater relay. Edited my previous reply for added info.

    So Amplifier or Ac switch. ill start with the cheaper one and see what happens i suppose

    Oh and if its worth mentioning, the Ac button doesnt light up unless i disconnect the amplifier but that doesnt help \o/

    here is how to check the amplifier.

    I dont have an answer for your harness missing a wire. I dont have an electronic copy of the AC wiring so I took a photo of it from the 96 factory wiring manual.

    CRAP, I forgot these toyotas have an amplifier thingie...Honda's I have don't have one.

    harness side

    4-ground pass
    6-2 pass
    2-10 857 ohms @ 92 ambiant (follows the Thermisitor chart)
    5-g ac switch on 8.37 Volts
    5-g ac switch off 0-

    I went to go test the back side, and i noticed theres a test for pin 8, There is no wire running to the harness on pin 8.

    it also appears the replacement instructions are slightly different? one says to replace amp if circuit doesnt match, and the other says replace it if it does? o_O
