    So guys

I’ve posted issues before regarding my A/C and I am picking up the pickup sensor as the A/C light still starts blinking when the Compressor shuts down and then blows Hott air.

A few things I’ve noticed. Drivers side vent always has air blowing out of it no matter what setting the switch is on (floor, defrosters, etc.) I checked the motors behind the glove box. The one that’s to the left and under the box looks as if it’s working when I change the settings I can see the gears turning and stopping when supposed to so I believe. The motor that’s above the glove box that opens and shuts the foam looking stuff to make the cabin air circulate or not also looks like it’s doing what it should. Here’s the crappy issue

I grabbed a can of refrigerant and hooked it up and I was seeing close to 0psi. As I was filling the line, it seemed as though the PSI would not go above 20psi. I unloaded the entire can and what I’m seeing is

the drivers side vent is blowing cold around 52 degrees. As you move towards the passenger side vents the temp rises to 62 degrees, then around 72 and finally the furthest dash vent to the right is reading over 80 degrees!

so, drives side vent blows coldest but blows no matter what setting I’m on and I cannot bring the psi on the low pressure line above 20psi

I’m grabbing a set of gauges and vacuum pump to both check the current pressure as well as clearing the lines completely. Any thoughts on where I should start?

    thanks

You deff have an AC leak. Your system is still holding a bit of pressure that's just enough to create a little bit of cold AC.

I have a slow leak in one of my lines. I get about 4 or 5 weeks before I have to top it off. The right vent slowly starts getting warmer and warmer as its the longest distance for the cold air to travel.

Some of the cheater cans have dye in it so it may be worth to look for green dye around the AC lines.

I shot some dye into the system and used a UV flashlight and do not see any leaks whatsoever.

I’m trying to make an appointment to get the Freon evacuated so I can get a vacuum onto it and test for leakage with the gauges. Im wondering if there’s a blockage somewhere check out these readings:

Is your fan clutch working?, looks like the head pressure is a bit high.

    Hey brother

it’s way high the shop added another 12 oz and the high side is now at almost 450 and the Low side is about 35 and it’s super hot outside today.

Where is the clutch fan located I am not sure if that’s the fan I’m looking at

Your engine fan, it should be blowing a moderate amount of air at idle. If it's barely spinning or keeps turning for more than 1-2 seconds after turning the engine off it’s bad.

Also check your radiator and condenser for blockages and debris between them and in the fins.

If that's all good it may be overcharged, the best thing to do is to get a shop with an A/C machine to evacuate the system and recharge it with the proper amount of refrigerant.

That's nuts. What shop added refrigerant with those initial gauge readings? They are incompetent. She's gonna blow the relief valve or exceed the high pressure cutoff. If I had to guess I'd say you may have a restricted or broken expansion valve.

All of the above mentioned. Also the two outer most vents are fresh air vents they will always have air flow thru them that is a bit warmer as they always pull fresh air from outside.

Would you have any info or tips on performing the cleaning and checking for blockages or is it literally looking between the fine? I don’t see anything leAking near or from the condenser - I appreciate you all thanks

Basically you wana check that there's not a bunch of trash stacked between them and look through the fins with a light and make sure they aren't plugged. If in doubt flush through it with a graden hose and see what comes out.

Can anyone identify that hose I have that’s Leaking; maybe even the part number ? I’m not sure if it’s one hose or two jointed together. Looks like it’s connecting from the compressor

Still not really understanding what is going on here. Initial high side reading was high and even with that the shop charged 12 oz which is about another 2/3 of an entire charge? Now you find a leak? Leak may be an entirely new issue from running around with that 450 psi after they seriously overcharged your system.
