    2006 Tacoma 4.0 Access cab 4x4
I am about to buy a 2006 Tacoma base access cab 4x4 with the 4.0 with 211,000 kms (about 125,000 miles) for what I think is a good price from a dealer. Only thing wrong is A/C. It not only does not blow cold, nothing happens when I press the A/C switch. The light on the a/c switch does not come on. Fan control works fine at all speeds, just no cold air. Any chance this is a relatively easy fix? I figure I could be saving well over $3000 buying it as is compared to market value in my area. What is a worst case scenario repair bill worth?

I am going back to look at it again in a few days before I make an offer. Anything I could check-fuse, relay, etc? Thanks

ps I've owned a number of Toyotas over the years, right now a 2012 RAV, but I have not had a Toyota truck since my 1980 pick up, the first year of the 4x4, at least in Canada. Looking forward to owning a Toy truck again.

You could check the a/c relay under the hood.

Might just be out of refrigerant. Easy job to fill it .......

however, it might be out due to a leak. That would not be a cheap fix.
Have them fix it before you buy.

This. Period. Complete with papers/receipts. If it were simple it would already be done.
