Hi, my aunts Tacoma (2010) is having an issue where her A/C stops working every now and then. She discovered that if she moves/jiggles this cable/wire (Ive included a picture of said cable) under the glove compartment it starts working again.

My question is, is this something I can fix for her myself? Or should I just let her take it to a mechanic. I was just hoping to save her some money.

    Thanks in advance guys.

Looks like the blower motor connector is toast, easy repair to replace the blower motor and connector.

Yep, they sell them for fairly cheap at Oreillys. I’ve replaced it twice on my 2008 and it has started doing it again. Faulty part.

I replaced mine about a year ago with one from Amazon. It started intermittently working about 3 months ago and I would have to jiggle it to get it to work just like yours. Turns out it was nearly melted in half. I ended up taking 2 insulated female spade connectors and shoving them on each contactor for the blower motor. It works great but you will have to trim part of the insulation off of the one you crimp on the negative wire.

Didn’t think about replacing the actual connector. I like the dual spade connector idea.

Yeah, I originally did it as a patch until I could get a new connector. But lets be honest, it will more than likely stay that way until I have to replace the blower motor.

Doesn't look burn to me but the wire is not crimped in the terminal. There is a tab that holds the terminal in the plastic, remove the connector stuff the wire back in the terminal, crimp it and stick it back in the plastic.
