Has anyone had their a/c turn off on them? I was driving on my lunch break and I was at a stop light and as soon as I hit the gas to go all of a sudden the air got hot and the recirc light was off and the a/c light was blinking. So I turned off the a/c and then turned it back on and it started working fine. seemed really weird to me and I'm not sure what that was all about. if anyone knows please let me know.

    Thanks guys!

Similar thing happened a few years ago except mine stopped working. A/C light started to blink and smelled something burnt. Turns out that burnt smell was the clutch to the A/C compressor.

Hope your experience was just a fluke and everything works out.

High side pressure to high from blockage in expansion valve. Low pressure to low from Freon leak or from blockage. Electrical issue (hope not). Belt slippage. These are a few things to check out. By no means is this all it could be but its a few things to get you started in diagnosing the problem.
