A/C wont turn off

    i'm just joined here so go easy. i own a 2004 TRD Tacoma

    my a/c, heat, defroster works great but when i turn it off i noticed I put my hand on the vents and I still feel it blowing cold air and then when I swtich it to heat i can feel it get hot. even with the temp control off

    does this seem like a common problem or something different? thx for any help

    Turning your recirc. on will keep that from happening

    Since the hvac inlet is under the windshield, a high pressure area when driving, it'll naturally force air through the system when you're going down the road.

    It was actually strong enough on my Civic that I always just shut the fan off when going 70.

    As captain kirk said the recirc will divert the system's inlet to one inside the cab and block that flow.

    Some systems (most Fords for sure) will shut a flapper so off really means off.
