A/C

so I have the most basic plain Jane 99’ 2.4 tacoma and it didn’t come stock with A/C. Where I live has really hot summers so u was wondering how hard it would be to put a stock or aftermarket a/c in my truck or if I should just use the little bit of extra space for a turbo

 

You gunna have to buy all the oem stuff for it to work. Not impossible

 

There's a generic AC kit that dealers used to install on base model trucks. It's not the OEM parts but apparently it works well enough. @1997tacomav6 has it, maybe there's a part number on it somewhere

 

I had mine done by an aftermarket company, but that was 20 years ago, they are still in business but not sure if the kit is available.

Whatever kit it is, it works fantastic zero issues over the last 605,000 miles.

Just needed a new compressor at 450,000 mile.

You could call MAXAIR in Colorado Englewood, they did my install with the kit.
It was expensive back then like 1500 if I remember but 22 years later worth every penny.
