I’ve been saving up for a king 2.5 extended travel suspension kit. I wanna hopefully have it by summer of 2020. Plan on getting them with adjusters and I’ll get Dakars, U bolt flip, and some kind of better bumpstops. My truck isn’t a 4x4, so I’m changing the direction into a more prerunner/race style truck. Final goal is to have mcneil +2 fenders and bedsides, 35’s, new bumpers, and midtravel.

Great setup!! for the rear I highly advise save for a shock relocate and HD hanger setup. The flex and ride quality improvement is worth the intial investment.

I doubt I’ll have the cash by then but I’ll keep an eye out, thanks!

I’ve looked into getting the Archive hangers, but i wanna get my suspension before I do that if i choose to. Whats the cost difference like between regular 2.5RR kings vs a 12” king with the relocation? I’d like to have a lot of travel and be able to jump the truck

I just saw that. $330 each shock and $400 for the relocation kit from Archive. I don’t trust my welding skills enough to do the install myself, so id have to look and see how much it costs to install somewhere. Hell if it costs the same I’ll for sure do it.

i only know of the archive hangers. Had no idea BAMF made them. If I can get the same quality for cheaper I’ll of course go that route, but that’s pretty far in the future. I’d prefer to buy new shocks, because they have to be rebuilt after so long right? Not much certainty on the mileage of the shocks other than what the owner tells you

This ^^my rear setup is all bamf premium quality stuff. Granted I’m running 2.0 12in smoothies I have no desire for 2.5s these perform beautifully.
    Who says dakars can’t flex.:D

Matt one of these days we should link up in Waco I’ll let you check my setup out and take you for a ride. She’s heavy but performs like a tippy toed ballerina.

I'd for sure take you up on that! I wish my truck was a 4x4 so I could go more towards an overland/ trail rig, but I also love going fast:rofl:

Gotcha, I figured you had to ship out your shocks to have them rebuilt and pay a decent amount. I'd much rather rebuild myself, especially if it's pretty cheap. Ill check out what kind of deals I can get.

I do to but nothing in this area to really have that kind of setup. If your gonna be doing all that you need to look into beefing up everything else like boxing the frame, lca crossmembers, coil buckets, spindles, maybe trussing the rear axle it goes on and on.

I mean for bashing down washboard roads the MT front and rear will be wonderful. Also there is plenty of trails you can go at HF.

I found a few trails by campus, but they're mostly back country dirt roads. They're nothing a Prius couldn't do but they're fun to go fast on
