When I hit one with my 03 Tacoma about 4-5 years back it cost 4,000 in repairs. Insurance took care of it. I thought they were going to total it because of the age of the truck and how high the mileage was. Hood, fender, bumper, radiator and support etc. Same situation. crested a hill and it ran across in front of me. Very unpredictable animals.

The pic is awesome. If you haven't already, it might be important to clean the blood off the truck rather quickly for the paint's sake. I'm no expert on paint, but I do have first hand experience with deer blood causing awful looking discoloration on hunting knives when not cleaned off right away. :anonymous:

Yes, sir. I was worried about the same thing. It took some work to get the dried chunks off, but everything did come off just fine in the end.

    Man,

Glad your ok. I heard of bull bars or cow catchers. Your front bumper absorber should be called the deer exploder.

Always, amazed me how keen the deer are of their surroundings but, they will walk into the path of a large vehicle of any size, tires howling, breaks squealing, lights blazing and horns blowing... See, those deer grazing along side of the road where you can pass within mere feet and they may not even lift their heads to look but, stop your vehicle and and try to get out and they'll run for the hills...
