Looks aside, the fact that one dealer had no issue with it doesn’t guarantee another dealer won’t.

Didn't want to say anything but after reading the comments. That isn't pretty. It looks cheap.

Lol!! Eye beholder as sand is ass..and some rigs above are ass...ha..no worries..it is just a recessed mockup that goes to a body shop for finish coat etc.
Do like recessed grilles and sick of seeing every model stroking these Pro grills.
If it it comes back marginal..will move on. :)

I prefer recessed grilles too. But from the thread title I thought we were discussing whether or not this grille would lead dealers to give us issue.

As much as I love the "blackout" or color coordinated, it does look cheep and screams plastic. I'm not sure how much you paid for it, but for a few extra bucks you could of gotten a more premium looking grille, that would actually increase the value market wide and not just with one dealer.

Edit: I genuinely feel bad seeing as everyone is shitting on this grill.

Not my taste, but thanks for letting us know Toyota didn't care.

Never understood why the grills with TOYOTA across the front are so popular.

I have a T Rex billet grill, and would have loved to been able to use one without the Toyota emblem...damn radar thing!

I think I am missing the point. What do you mean that “the dealer had no issue with”? Did you sell it to a dealer?

I am guessing he means for the safety sensor recall. On 2018 plus trucks, there were some that had a recall on the sensor, and many dealers would not complete the work if you changed out the grille. They said it compromised the system parameters, even if you put a TRD Pro grille on a Sport. Also, there were different ways to apply the foam pad depending on which grille you had, and they didnt know what to do.
