My 13' has a little shake at cold start, goes away after like 15-20 seconds. It's always done that, engine's just rocking hard momentarily.

Pick up some silicone ignition wire spray. $5. Spray all of your wires.

If you’ve already got WD-40 then use that but it won’t last.

See if that smooths things out.

These wire harnesses are getting old. Bleeding off a few electrons can cause all manner of misbehaviours.

It's one of many on the subject.

We had a freon leak in a building years ago which made entire area look foggy. I called FD to come ventilate the building. One FD guy came in smoking a cigarette. I asked if he knew what phosgene gas was. He looked bewildered.

By OEM I meant Toyota Branded Boxes, with NGK plugs inside of them and Toyota parts stickers attached.

That video is the first I've ever heard mention anti-seize should NOT be used.

Go to Google Search and type in:

    "don't use anti-seize denso ngk"

    You'll be busy for awhile.

Yes I have, it's the same issue with welding around galvanized metal but I don't see how that is relevant. The guy is not welding around the brake cleaner, he's spraying it on potential leaks. Show me an article that says phosgene gas is released from brake cleaner in this scenario and I'll listen. What I'm reading is that it is not released unless exposed to heat above 615 degrees F.

    See for example: https://envirofluid.com/info-library/toxins/tetrachloroethylene-brake-cleaner

I used the same plugs at 128000 miles with a dot of antiseize (yes I had read countless posts and watched videos on it). No shaking or vibration in my 2005 V6 Taco. 130000 miles.

One finer point. After cleaning my throttle body I will tell you it ran "different", kind of rpm jumping until I disconnected the battery and reconnected after a few mins. There are a few posts on this. Then the ECU reset and it was fine. YMMV.

Also watch that tiny hose by the firewall that connects just under the engine cover on the passenger side of the vehicle. Mine was off when I bought it and I put it back on. There is no clamp on it from the factory.

You are possibly injecting it into the combustion chamber. Remember you are looking for a change in idle ? It is being sucked into the engine and changing the mixture ratio thus the idle ! Do you know what combustion chamber temps are ? So you can be creating it, yes it is an issue. You are burning it.
Only 4 ppm is enough to be an issue !

    Yeah.
I haven't found either brake cleaner nor carb cleaner to be very effective in locating vacuum leaks. Better to get a Haynes manual and go through things one by one, looking for disconnected or cracked lines that aren't forming a good seal.

I didn't know the head gasket issue was so prominent. It's hard to believe this truck would have a head gasket issue.

I would definitely feel a loss in power over something like that.

Out of curiosity, what did you use to clean the MAF and throttle body?
Have you narrowed where the exhaust leak might be coming from? Do you recall grabbing or touching any of the exhaust piping when tuning up you truck? When I had a leak (which I know isn't the easiest to find), I had someone on the outside to help listen. Is it more prominent on acceleration or load? Mine was and I used a nearby hill, with someone driving my truck, stopping and starting on the hill until I could narrow down where.

I had a dirty MAF once and a faulty one another time. For both instances, I did not experience any issues (no vibrations) at startup or idle (only moving), so possibly not your MAF.

You could try and replace the plugs again and see if that makes any difference. At least you'd rule them out if the problem persists.

I'm pretty aware of noises and vibrations in my vehicles, so I know how it can be. I really hope you can figure out what's the causes.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:
I fell on the floor seeing this. My wife had an Outback that blew both head gaskets and nearly left her stranded way out in nowhere. Temp gauge suddenly went over midline for no reason. It was not even funny at the time but the temp gauge shown here hit too close to home.

Did you pull the airbox and intake when you were cleaning? If you did make sure they are seated right, no air leaks.

Also, could be leaky fuel injector on 5 or 6, early 4.0 known for that. Does your engine oil smell like gas?

My head gasket went out, just like everyone else, on cyl 6. It was a VERY SLOW progression, like over a couple of years between the time i started noticing little issue and an error code thrown. Mark your coolant bottle at high and low levels and watch for coolant change.
