Do what you can to get a new tank now... you're on borrowed time. Just had to do mine after thinking MIL was something else. It starts with just a pinhole at tank but then the fun begins. Your evap system can't maintain a vac on tank due to leak and it triggers the CEL, which for that code has about 6 things that cause it. Actually you're lucky they found it now. If you do emissions testing in your state you will fail. After I chased other items I hit $ 1400 for Toyota tank replacement and I have an 02 as well. Good Luck.

Rockauto has the best price on a new one I have found. I just have never ordered from them. When I replace the tank I'm going to do a new fuel pump also. It has 150k so I guess I should change it.

After frame replacement on my 2010 4wd I feel my gas mileage got worst. I get like 260-280 out of a 19 gallons tank. Anyone else?
