    She looks brand new.
I have the non-TRD version of your truck and that darn clunking was bothering me. I had tried greasing the slip yoke and adding a spring helper. Neither fixed it. I eventually got a traction bar http://speed-freek.net/?p=65 and all is quiet now.

Thanks again guys. She is in near perfect condition inside and out. There are a few small paint chips on the front side of the hood and front bumber. But I have touched them up with layers of touch up paint.

I will check into the traction bar.

Where is a good place to find this part? There is no price on the link that you sent me. Do you have any photos of it installed on your truck?

SpeedFreek is the maker of that traction bar so you would contact him directly through his web page. You are right, the price is no longer there. It use to say $320 shipped.

Speedfreek (Jason) fit it to my truck. If you do off roading, you may want to talk to him about a different setup. There are also other options that I looked at. Budbuilt offers some traction bars http://www.budbuilt.com/new/traction_bars.html

    Here are some pictures.

    Very Nice looking truck!!!!!!!!!

There are many nice looking modified trucks here, but personally I LIKE the stock look! (leveling kits ok). I keep mine looking stock too.:)

Thanks for the info and photos Matt.

I am now convinced that Axle wrap has something to do with it. I am a machinist and I plan on fabing my own set of bars or maybe a single bar. I plan on starting a separate post for this to generate ideas.

You might want to look into getting new leaf springs. Mine are shot & I just ordered a pair. I just put on new rear shocks & still have bad axle wrap, so I hope new leafs will help. Mine have no arch left in them....

It seems to me that if the stock springs are week and sagging, then my truck should be sitting low in the rear. I believe that our trucks came this way and have always had the axle wrap. What is strange is that I drove an 01 DC PreRunner that didn't have this issue. Who knows?

    Verry Nice truck man!

I like the color keyed version. :)
I didn't have any issues with axle wrap either, I think its just hit and miss with our trucks.

Actually when I got this truck in '05, (had 14,000 miles on it) it did not have any issues with axle wrap, but now, it's getting pretty bad. Can't wait to get these new leafs springs on!:D
