I was considering buying my first car, but my parents seem to be willing to give me there 03 tacoma prerunner. So I think I would use the cash to get a SC. So I have a few questions.

    1. Is it hard to install? I am no mechanic, but can do regular maintenance with no problems. Or should I get the SC installed by Toyota?

    2. About how much is it to get installed by Toyota?

    3. I see a bunch of stuff from URD that people get with their SC. As far as I can tell, all that is really needed for the SC is the 7th injector kit. Is that all that I really need?

    Thanks in advance!

The TRD Supercharger for the 5VZ is a very nice unit.

TRD stopped offering the fuel and engine management for it some time ago.

You can install the URD 7th injector kit with your TRD Supercharger and you will have a very nice combination that you can enjoy for many years.

i wouldnt go with the roots type. go and look for the centrifugal one on urdusa.com that way you can run an inter cooler much easier. with the intercooler your hp will increase, and have it professionally tuned to get optimal performance.

I got a 2001 dc tacoma trd supercharger with the urd 7th injector kit. my truck put out stock 170 with my exhaust and intake, after i put the sc on it now its making 240hp with 271tq which is a big increase for a stock engine. the tires smoke everytime i jump on it. and it tows my race car just fine with it. the 7th injector is cool but i wish there was something else, maybe i can be the first to guinea pig to an aem fic what do u think gadget??? or was it done already???

I think that has already been done. If you want I can set you up with a MAP-ECU2 controller. I am running one in my 97 4Runner.
