Oh, well I guess my 2001 delayed engagement issue doesn't apply ....with my luck, the only "fix" I'll have available is a new transmission!

Dates aren't very big to me, as car issues hardly expire. An engine that had a problem 30 years ago will have another engine with the same problem today... Well, unless it had a T.S.B/recall of course

I get it.. however responding to the OP nearly 2 years later doesn't seem logical.. although someone else may some day read through this thread and not have to do any additional reading somewhere else being that the answer is now here also

Why? I don't get all the people in trucks that I see backing into parking spaces. Why? What is the advantage? I just pull in and back out. My truck hasn't blown up yet.

I was responding to all the knowledgeable men who may hopefully read this and have an answer, it's not just the OP who can see it.... it's better than staying quiet and having no possibility of help, & probroblly better for the overall site than having all kinds of new posts from a clueless girl when these issues have already been addressed in previous (albeit old) posts...

I back up in my driveway because my wife parks on the right.. if I back in then I will be able to tell if she dings my door.. If I park straight in then Ill be entering on the other side away from her car.. in the end I don't believe matters just my logic

Sorry sir, you cannot ask a question to someone who posted beyond the calender year... this is clearly a tabu practice that always gets pointed out. Not cool!

Was being a smart ass, cuz u asked a guy a question who posted something considered "old" ... I'm always getting shit for doing that, so that's what I'm referring to.

I get it you’re trying to figure out the problem you’re having. However it may be Moreno beneficial for you to start a new thread (in the right forum) to get answers to your problem. This is the 3rd gen forum. The truck is completely different than your 1st gen.

I realize that. I just did a general search for my symptoms - as I have found more answers that way than limiting any insight to my generation. While you have a valid point, sometimes I don't have any applicable results in my generation alone.
