Very nice, as if buying the truck wasn't enough, you took the extra step.

I'm sure there are many on this site that would love to be able to do that for their son. I know I would love to as his birthday (29) is in a few days. I did take my old Suzuki Samuri and put new tires, brakes, seat covers, carpet and soft top on it and drove it from Dallas to Phoenix to surprise him on his 16th birthday. That was one painfully long drive in that thing. But it was well worth it. He didn't know I was even coming. It is a wonderful memory that I will always have. I parked it in his mom's driveway (she new I what was going on) and called him on my cell.
I had walked around to the back yard so I could see him through the sliding glass door. After talking a while, I asked him to go look in the driveway, then came through the house behind him after he had gone out. It was great.

He has a Scion at the moment, but had a 94 Toyota 4wd truck before that and misses it quite a bit. My daughter drives a corolla but wants a Rav4.
I bought my gf a Prius for commuting to work, but perfers my Tundra over any of our other cars during the winter months.

The Tundra has the 5.7l and is 4wd. About a month into owning it, I decided to supercharge it. All work was done by the Toyota dealership which took roughly 15 hours being their first install. Gas mileage dropped from 18 to about 13 when you get on it. After the installation, the tech who installed it, the service manager, the owner of the dealership and myself took it out for a road test. We launched at take off and tried spinning the tires which obvously, the vsc kicked in at that point. Even shutting that off, it sill kicked in afterwards. We had it up to about 90 in short time. Acceleration was compared to a corvette as far as being pushed back into the seats.
Horsepower increased to 505 but as not been dyno tested yet.

The 5.7L is in reality a hemi engine but cant be advertised as such due to Dodge having the rights to that name. All i can tell you is that this truck has balls.
We did a leveling kit on it and raised the truck 3". Everything else on the truck is stock and performs flawless.
