Very touching, Dad of the year for sure. My dad gave me 50Gs to buy a house in 1997 and I will never forget that.

That's awesome! I hope he appreciates it as much as most of us would!

I am currently trying to wire up my front and rear aux lights. I bought 2 stock fog light switches and they do not seem to slide into the extra slots. Did you also purchase extra wiring harnesses for the switches? Any details you can give on the install and wiring would be greatly appreciated.

I delivered the Tacoma today, but unfortunately, my son couldnt be there to see it. His wife took ill last night and rushed to the hospital. She is recovering today and will have a speedy recovery. I spoke to him on the phone and told him that I left the truck at his mothers house and to call me when everything is settled down with his wife. My other son was home at the time and I went over all the mods with him so he can show him how everything works. I have to go down there the first week of April and will go over everything with him again. Hopefully, my wife will take pics of him when he first sees it, and I will post them here.

For those of you that have children, the best gift you can give them doesnt cost a cent. Spend as much time with them as you can. Have lots of patience, listen to them and they will listen to you.

I just want to thank everyone for their comments here, its priceless to me.
I wish I could have spent more time with my kids when they were younger....

Truer words were never spoken, my sons are 27 and 25, my oldest is married and lives in Texas, he teaches 5th grade. Our youngest is an IT tech for automotive dealerships. We never missed a soccer, baseball or basketball game or practice. We were at every tournament, every karate class. We would not have missed it for anything. My only regret is it went to fast, way to fast.

Wow, that is freakin' awesome. You are the man.
Can't wait to see what his reaction was like!
I was actually up in Northville a few weeks ago to pick up a 46 gallon fish tank just after I bought my Tacoma. I live just outside of Albany.

You are one of the greatest people I have ever known by so little...I would be forever grateful if my father bought me a Tacoma and modded it for me too. Time will tell if he does something like that or not but I try to be the best son I can before I go to college and even then, be the best one I can.

+massive rep for this amazing gift, I'm sorry you couldn't see his reaction.

Wow!!! What an incredible gift! Awesome.

Very, very good advice about spending time with your kids too. My oldest daughter (of three!) just turned 18 and will be leaving home for college in a few short months. I can't believe that time has come already. It's such a cliche' but it really is true... they really DO grow up so fast. Don't miss it!
