I wanted a silver one but the dealership didn't have one and said there were none within 100 miles. They wanted to sell me a cement one. I pulled out a list of 5 vin numbers of silver ones within 100 miles. Imagine how stupid they looked when I bought the cement one:anonymous:

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
3B788E04-C1B9-49E8-A2D7-0739DCF5A0E0.jpg I walked in cold and asked the first sales dude how much for one on the lot. He said give me a minute and came back with 18.5. I said write that bitch up. Know going in how much money you have to spend and do it (by close today :p) I don’t give a shit what color it is :) and the less options the better (and post pics). Good luck! :fingerscrossed:

Second this. I bought one there and drove it 600 miles home. Contacted almost every dealer in near my house in Socal and a bunch in Norcal and Freeman were the only ones who ordered my exact truck at a good price. Brita was awesome.

I walked into my dealer, told them what I wanted (cement TRDOR w/ Sport hood). Told them that if they could get me under a certain “per month” amount then we would have a deal. Salesman came back with a monthly payment $50 less a month than I asked for and about half the money down that I expected to pay. Told him to write it up. In and out of the dealership in less than 3 hours

I really hope you actually looked at the amount you paid, how long your loan is for and what your interest rate is.
What you did is generally a great way to get ripped off by the dealer.

Excellent point, another “never ever” do... always negotiate a known total price, like before TTL or a complete OTD total. If you even mention monthly payments the salesperson will just grin and grin as he just hooked a sucker. Research you desired vehicle and options, set a firm total cost in your mind, obtain financing at your bank or credit union, and have enough down payment to keep yourself from being upside down with the loan. Once you have your loan amount and down payment available, you then have your final total OTD limit (never ever deal/negotiate a monthly payment... that’s a sales managers dream).

    Riverview worked out.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences, I looked at each dealer suggested along with all the ones I checked during my OCD search.

I got a price a few hundred cheaper than the deal I had with Findlay. I think the truck even had a bunch more added crap that I didn't pay, nitro in tires, (what a crock of shit), ceramic tint and some other minor dealer add ons.

I'm hoping to at least wear the first set of tires out before I do anything to crazy with the truck as far as mods. The first gen got a supercharger, I don't think this one will get that crazy.

The other way to look at it is that dealerships no doubt waste a shit ton of time on jerk off buyers, who don't know what they want, don't know how to negotiate, can't afford it, expect to walk in the door and be given the best possible price every time... then run down the street and shop it around.

    That door swings both ways.

Good on ya for not doubling down on the anger. I emailed Camelback and Tempe Toyota and made em duel. Tempe sold me an OR DC for 36 out the door. Good luck.

Not implying you should, just pointing out that both buy-side and sell-side have to deal with jerkoffs and... since there are thousands of car buyers to every car dealer, the odds are higher that dealers have to deal with more jerkoffs than buyers do.

Edit: everything said was true. No bullshit. Worth the 2hr drive for me. I’m gonna try to get the t4r wheels locally but if njy, they have a good deal on those too.

    Awesome!
I got mine at SkyDance in Davis, CA.
I have jumped at Eloy though. And taken some courses. There is an amazing amount of talent there.

I usually just say, "Look outside! It's the Goodyear blimp!" Then I slip a roofie in their coffee. Works every time.
