There is an actual sticky that is promoting spacerlifts, utterly junk short throw shift kits, and utterly bug-ridden 3rd party tuning software. There is no faster possible way I can conceive of to void every semblance of a warranty, and kill your $40k truck than to put OV-tune, spacer lifts and a URD shift kit on it. I cannot believe this kind of information is stickied. Its defies all reason. I mean what kind of place tells you that 3rd party powertrain and ecu modifications are "great" and "absolutely worth it"? This is a list of literally everything to NEVER do to your truck. EVER.

Tacomaworld is hopeless. It really and truly is. Helpful and "good" information is so, so difficult to find here, and is buried under the worst 'enthusiast' community I have ever been apart of in my online-automotive life. I used to think NASIOC was the apex of garbage but this place is beyond the pale. Automotive culture needs good places online to go, please dont turn this place into a radioactive sesspool with stickies like this.

I remember when our biggest fantasies were for diesel SAS, not waiting for an aftermarket developer to help a stock engine run in a predictable and intuitive manner.

“in the 3rd Gen forum” needs to be added to the end of the title...

Maybe add something along the lines of “Snowflake survival guide” too.

Half the nonsense here is first or second gen owners complaining about our trucks for us! :p

Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”

You had me until the top 10, then you lost me. Not conceptually, rather the albeit potentially misinterpreted reception was “opinions as fact”, a touchy societal trend these days.

Your instincts and getting along feelings were right on.
