Good you got the plate but too bad no video evidence ... Reckless DR could be a felony if you were hurt but prob a class 1 Mis. It's a pleasure pulling these types over ...they usually cry.

AE62BAFC-0A9C-47A1-B222-7C7C6D5F63CB.jpgBefore and after. Little different I did this myself but you could definitely fix that w/o insurance and pocket the 4K maybe do some mods. As said before just looks like a broken clip and a new headlight bracket. Maybe a new headlight as well. Like you said insurance will always try to find a way to jack your rate up I only try to use when I have no other choice. Sucks it happened tho sorry to hear OP. But be glad it could’ve been much worse.

I'll tell you, i drive on a lot 2 lane back roads here. Between motorcycles riding down the middle of the centerline, and vehicles crossing the centerlines, especially on hairpin curves with drivers speeding over their heads, its an adventure i make my trips without an accident every time out.

Im slowing down to make a right on a 2 lane road with signal on and the guy who was tailgating me earlier decides to pass me on the right at 60 mph. My blind spot monitor didnt even have time to flash before he was at my front fender

Wow! That doesn’t sound right. I would just get it realigned/ balance and do the rest of the work my self. Or you could pocket the 4K and take a ding on your insurance.

Hmm. Hawaii huh? Likely story. When’s the last time you were in Pennsylvania in a rented Acura?

I’m no insurance expert but I was under the assumption that your rates will only go up if it’s your fault? I say this cuz last October some dbag pulled out in front of me and I t-boned him. He was a young adult and his insurance wasn’t responding so I called mine and they took care of everything and didn’t jack up my insurance rates. The adjuster told me it wouldn’t raise my rates unless it was deemed my fault.
They gave me $10,300 for a 01 with 225,000 miles on it! I was happy:D

You are correct, if the other driver is found 100% at fault, your rates will not go up. Since the other party’s insurance will be paying for all costs, your insurance premium would not change since you weren’t at fault for the accident and you didn’t cost your insurer anything.

In California hit and run punishable by one year of license suspension, fat ticket and full liability for the damages. If he has insurance then it'll pay for your damages, if not, your uninsured motorist collision deductible waiver (if you have it) will cover your deductible and collision coverage will take care of 100% of damages, then subrogate against the douche. Call your insurer asap, let them do their job tracking him down. The sooner you start the sooner they can track him down and make you whole.

Arb summit bumper. Morimoto led headlights and new grill. Grill and lights have sequential turn signals.
I had a deer hit on rs front, cracked the corner and broke both tabs on headlight.
Insurance covered and no rate hike.
    I live in pa also.
Jack up might depend on ins company, some are better then others.
