This just made me set up an appointment to have my windows tinted to try to hide my head unit. I would be P.O.'d if someone would do this to my truck. I like the razor blade mod, but the S&W mod works better. The blades just gives them holes in their hands. The S&W gives them holes where ever you put the pretty little red dot.

So I have to replace most of the dash and I'm going to attempt to do most of the work myself so I don't have to pay out the ass for repair shop (meaning pay a large deductable). this will include the big black trim that goes the width of the car. Plus not having a truck for while wouldn't be good.

Does anyone have a good resource I can look at for taking apart the dash? I noticed haynes and cliton both have repiar manuals for 05-09 tacomas. Will either of these work for good diagrams for the dash?

Found this. In this thread. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/detailing/113527-how-do-you-take-apart-dash.html
It is actually quite the process. for the gauge bezels, there are two screws under the top lip that come out. for the piece under the climate controls...well that one is a good one. lol you have to take out just about every other piece of trim, center console, piece under the steering wheel, glove box, its all gotta go. but they are all either snap in or snap in with a couple 10mm bolts. not too hard at all.

That sucks bro. I know how it feels -- really shitty. I've had my windows smashed out twice, and I didn't have insurance to pay for the repairs. Both times, they stole petty stuff like cd's and sunglasses (yeah, that's worth breaking a window for  ).

People who steal shit should seriously be punished by having their hands cut off.

My truck got broken into also, all they stole was my bucket of change though. My iPod, cell phone, and plenty of other stuff was sitting there but they only stole the change? I dont understand why though. They also left a pretty 5 inch scratch down passenger door.
