Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Mars had running water at one point. Could it have been the first build? Recalled due to rust? It is red after all.

I think Mars didn't have a proper plumbing permit, and all the water leaked out.:D

Wouldnt that be indicative of a bid being performed? And then we have to assume some legal department was involved as well.....Man...It could have been a messy process......I wonder how much the bond was?

It would have had to have been some sort of commodity. It was probably done on credit. Cash was not invented yet unless he traded in commodities.

Maybe there was a large "SPace Grab", and God simply got here first, planted his flag, and proclaimed "THIS GALAXY IS MINEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

If you get rid of all the "religious" opinion that you just spouted off and leave the following... "All i know is I believe in the bible and the stories within. Im not going to push it on somebody if they dont want to hear it. I'll let them know im a christian ( I added this part ) and I respect them for whatever they choose to believe as I hope they do for me" and leave it at that, then no one regardless of the belief they have can not respect your opinion. Its states very clearly that your happy and proud to feel one one, you dont mind if they feel another way, and its simple.

FYI, if "jesus" came back today.... only lets call him david . And he tried to tell any religion that he came back to "save our sins" because of how bad things had become. Not a single religion would accept him short of proof. Yet in the bible jesus did not PROOF things he just asked for faith. Only the lucky ones saw what he could "do". Why do you think that is? Back in the day if someone said "I am god" and could do anything out of the ordinary people said OK! So I ask you, if david blane said to you, I am jesus, watch me levitate.... you did not know he was a magician and it was a prop.... and you before your own eyes saw him levitate.... would you believe him? Faith is supposed to be black and white.... not pick and choose...

Science requires proof. Thats why people can say its a fact. Because it can or cant be proven wrong. However religion has no facts to back it up, just a few different versions of different stories that if you question you are damned. Kind of lame dont you think? I mean if a doctor told me to take a pill with no explanation of its benefits and downsides, and when I said why, if he screamed at me to get out of his office and told me I was going to hell.... I think I would pass on the pill.

one questions if science requires proof why does science always change it's mind? well we thought this was right until we discovered this now we need to change it.

science has theories that can be backed up to a point and in most cases it looks like they have it figured out until they find the next thing then it all changes.

A lot of science is theory that is based on evidenve, not proof.

How do you figure? And why is holding off until after Christmas to share an article he found interesting and what others found interesting more classy than posting it when he did? That doesn't make sense. To you it may appear more classy, but I wholeheartedly disagree. I would think it to be more classy to share a timely piece with people who may not otherwise have known of its publishing quickly than to cow-tow to a group of people who might get all butt-hurt over its content.

Well, that's just a whole lot of speculation right there. I don't necessarily fall into your group, but I found the article quite informative and thought-provoking. And not being an avid reader of the WSJ, I most likely wouldn't have known about it were it not for Krazie's post.

Of course he is. Here's an option, you can choose to not be disturbed by his shit. And actually, since he hasn't made any posts in here to fuel the debate, you can make the argument he is less of a shit-disturber than you or I.

This is an apples-to-oranges example, because nowhere in the article, nor in Krazie's copy-and-paste of it did express any derogatory statements about people who believe in God. It expressed one man's opinions about religion and his feelings on the subject matter. If I came in here and started posting-about all willy-nilly going: "God Sucks! You suck! Here's a picture of Jesus wearing a tutu! Walking a chihuahua!" Then people would have the right to get all pissy at me. And I would be on the rightful end of their venom.

First -- most Islamic people are extremely peaceful and loving. Some of the most generous people I have ever encountered are Muslim and on the whole. I find Islamic people to be just as peaceful and nice, if not more so, than people of other faiths.

Second -- Awful retaliation? Are they going to gas TacomaWorld? Are the going to bring back Lentsnh and Masada? (these folks have been banned, by the way, mostly because of being dumbasses) Are they going to lay siege to tcBob's house? I don't understand what "awful retaliation" there could possibly be.

Lastly -- I want to repeat this: "However since God loving folks are non violent and default to the good, we get messed with." Do you know which faith has been involved in the most wars/warmaking? The Romans (who had their own religious views). Wanna guess who's second? Christians. More blood has been spilled by "non-violent" and "defaulting to the good" God-loving folks than anyone in the modern history of mankind.

It's not hypocritical, because no of the scenarios you talk about happened. I think you need to look up the definition of hypocritical. In fact, you've argued for a "live and let live" mentality, yet won't adhere to it when it's a topic you seem to care about. You want to control when and where people can and cannot post material you may or may not find offensive. Now that's pretty hypocritical.

What makes you think others aren't interested in your reactions? It's much easier to make a point seem favorable when the ones arguing the opposite aren't making sense.

The title of the post very clearly states "A Holiday Message From Ricky Gervais" and that it is in the Off-Topic section of TacomaWorld.com. People who decide to read the post of their own volition, and then decide to get all butt-hurt at its message have no sympathy from me.
