They were on the same keyboard and you probably had a broken hand. At least that's the excuse I use anytime I see one of your typos. ;)

    Bwhhahahahaha.........beat me to it.

I find it interesting that it never says in the Bible that Christ was actually born on the 25th, let alone in December.

It's funny- cause if he was trying to incite/instigate an argument- It's kinda working. You guys are bumping the snot out of this thread and letting his comments get under your skin (instead of the hole turning the other cheek thing).
End result- He's wasting your time and hasn't even posted again....

MPJ didn't OP this one...and again- If you get incited about his opinions, That's on you, not on him-cause he isn't saying anything derogatory.

BTW-I don't agree with the stat that millions and millions of Christians worldwide celebrate the true meaning of the season. (I know you didn't post that but I forgot to multi-quote it) The lady with the "Keep Christ in Christmas" bumper sticker on her Lexus that cut several people in a row off in traffic today-She's a buffet Christian- She takes what she wants, when she wants...and I see more of those than true devout believers. Probably in part due to the fact that I don't hang around churches- but perception becomes reality.

    Step away from the keyboard...

Its not that people get angry that your (people in general not singling you out colton) standing up for what you believe, its the process, the things they use to back up their argument, and how they go about it. If people said I believe, I hear what you have to say and I disagree, and this is what I want to say, without the attack, Less people would freak out.

On both sides of the coin when you attack anything someone believes it makes them want to retaliate, thats exactly what many religions try and tell people not to do. Yet at the same time thats what every one seems to do, then they justify it somehow. Its nice to pick and choose parts of some book that make it ok, but its very hard to just remain silent.

    post 127, last sentence.

To characterize this thread and the OP's true intent, I will say that he HATES all things Christian so much, he even brought it up out of the blue- IN A THREAD ABOUT WARMING ENGINES. Called me a name, and attacked my religion. WTF??? Whaddya think MJP? Warranted?
I submit to you you will NOT find a Christian starting a thread EVER about atheists and their non-beliefs. We don't start this crap-atheists do. Why is that-and why a few days before Christmas? Well-I say we gave krazy HIS present-attention. Enjoy krazy-

Has any one ever pointed out that christmas is actually a fairly new holiday? Or that it has been "modified" over the years to suite people? Its not like its a set in stone tradition dating back thousands and thousands of years? Its just something we now celebrate, kinda like thanks giving. But its built with good intentions, so lets keep our mind on that. Regardless of what you feel about your beliefs, lets just enjoy the holidays.

For myself I know that because I "CHOSE" to read the article, that it was not an attack. The article did not jump off my computer screen and scream its contents at me. I was not sure what to expect and as I read it, at any time I could have "CHOSEN" to read no further. But I think its a great response to a great question, that only applies to the person it was asked to. Its nice to see someone have an opinion they developed on their own and stand behind it, regardless of my personal feelings towards that opinion.

Since we are posting quotes from other threads:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/of...65-wish-alcu-merry-christmas.html#post1146169

That is a thread started by Tallyman a while back- who posted his immediate indignation about this thread. These two threads are on par-Not directly attacking or calling anyone anything in specific but designed to elicit a response. And targeting a group for a mail campaign to make a political statement and then asking a mixed group forum to pitch in...That's pretty much crap starting in my book...

of COURSE it didn't. It's called "timing" and "calculating"-all the "content" need do, is introduce the notion.

The timing and calculating are pretty relevant since it was published in the Wall Street Journal on Sunday....

It's not like Krazie could travel back in time and post it 3 months ago. And if he could, I would be very upset with him for not telling me this whole thread would happen in 3 months.

And the whole "A Holiday Message From Ricky Gervais" title is taken straight from the WSJ.

All he did was post it here and provide a link.
