You could have written the articles- but you didn't. And on general topics they are usually pretty decent. I wouldn't write a college paper with Wiki...but who gives a hoot if you use them on a forum??

 

At the bottom of almost every Wikipedia article are references. Feel free to follow the links or look things up in your library. I'm not that ambitious. Plus, at some point you're going to have to trust what someone else says about the subject.

1st question:

explain the cold virus and how it evolves to keep from being wiped out by vaccinations? Is that not evolution? or is that something else?

2nd Question: Do you believe in dinosaurs? If so when did they happen as compared to when the "bible" happened?

3rd. Question: Do you believe in adam on eve? If so where do chimps come from?

4th Question: If evolution is not real, how is it that humans brains have grown larger (scietific proof ) along with our physical size, over the years? What would you call that? IF the name evolution (def: A gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form) does not fit?

 

If you believe in adam and eve, and chimps are just animals, why do they share a portion (98.7%) of our dna? could it be that we have a common ancestor? and if thats the case.... (proven) then was adam just annoyed that eve was too busy with the apples?

 

Have you never seen Planet of the Apes ?

1: Who says its "evolving"? If you were trying to be "wiped out" would you not change something? and i don't mean as an "evolutionary' change

2: Yes of course i believe in dinosaurs! When God created them, they lived in the garden of eden with Adam & Eve.

3. uhh yes? What do you mean? Adam & Eve are humans just like you and me. Chimps are chimps. Dogs are dogs. tigers are tigers. Im not sure about this question, maybe restate it?

4. Are you not different from your parents? I am personally wayyy taller than my parents. It's how your genes line up, it's not evolution.

Have you ever taken biology in a college setting? A single gene, a single one!!, could change a entire species from another

 

1. So you agree that if you "change" to fit your new environment or challenges, that you are evolving right? Because if you continue to do this over time your children's children children a million times later will have slowly changed.... were talking millions of years... bringing me to my next point.

3. We have a common ancestor, with primates, making us a variety of them, its a proven scientific, genetic fact. We do not have the same match to dolphins, so yes dogs are dogs, tigers are tigers, and we are primates evolved to a "smart" ape, genetically speaking.

2. So Dinosaurs are real, and you are now saying that dinosaurs only eat grass? right? and if thats the case then your now telling me t-rex was in the garden of eden? Also how old is t-rex? and how old is the bible? When (year) was adam and eve? Cause we can scientifically prove the age of t-rex, so that makes me question the time frame of eden and the bible.... from adam, to t-rex what time frame are you talking cause t-rex is around 2 million years old? Now compare that to when the first bible was made? Maybe what 2000 + years? kinda off there dont ya think?

4. Yes yes... I am different from my parents, one could argue that I am a slight better than them. As so all kids should be, an upgrade.... and as my kids are going to be, another upgrade.... Hence, once again the idea of evolution... So thank you for the kind subtle agreement. You are your parents evolved... taller, stronger, smarter..... lol

Hey here is another one for ya.... moses took how many species with him on his crazy cruse ? Just wanted to get an idea?

Also since your pretty good and quoting scripture do you know the 10 commandments? Can you tell me the one that says your not allowed to change the bible ?

 

I think it's commical that people debate any of this. Does anyone really think they're going to change anyone's mind? Like suddenly, an athiest (or agnostic) is going to post something....and some religious person is going to go, "omg....you're right....there is no god!!" Or that some religious person says something, and an athiest (or agnostic) goes, "holy crap.....you're right....there is a god!!"

The OP just posted an article from one person, on his belief. Every person on this planet believes what they want to believe (sadly, some are forced to believe in what they DON'T believe in).

I know that I will never fully understand how anyone can believe there's some magical dude hanging out above the earth's surface, watching you play with yourself at night - or that if you dig deep enough in the ground, you'll come across some other dude sporting horns...and a wicked sun-burn. But that's my belief. If you have the ability - or desire - to believe in such things.....more power to ya. I don't press my belief on you....and I would expect the same in return. Such a waste of energy to fight over such things.

God created a lot of things in the "first 7 days". How are we to know that the first day wasnt 2 million years long. and the 3rd day 1 million years long. There was no record of time then. There was nothing. And there was also about 99.9% less ppl on earth. So in theory, dinosaurs and ppl could have lived in the same era. Its a big world. IF you saw a dinosaur walking around would you live there? Id go a far away as possible.

Has there ever even been dinosaur bones found in Jerusalem or any of the other cities of the bible? I have no idea.

I still think the "7days of creation" was more than just 7 sunrises. You know what i mean? Was there even a sun?

Maybe god created dinosaurs and then let them run for a while and then was like, hey, maybe i'll make somebody that kinda looks like me to talk to. So im gonna send this metor down and kill them all and start all over with humans. Who knows.

I have one question for the Non believers. I know some people that dont believe in God, but believe in Jesus. They believe he was real and everything that happened to him was real for the most part. Is it like this for all or just some?

All i know is I believe in the bible and the stories within. Im not going to push it on somebody if they dont want to hear it. I'll let them know im a christian and god loves them and would love to enter their heart. If they want to listen thats great. If not. I at least planted the seed. Maybe one day they will get curious and read up a little.

Its a wonderful life when you believe in god. My way of thinking changed when i became saved. Im happier now, i believe more pleasant to be around, and all and all a better person. And truly believing in a higher being watching over us and loving us made that happen for me. Im not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to the bible, but if anybody is curious, let me know. I'll do all i can to get you started.

I will reiterate what I posted in another post. In the end, people will believe what they believe. We all have to respect our differences. I don't buy the opinion that only atheists' beliefs are based on sience and Christians base their beliefs on faith alone.

Here's my two cents. Atheists believe there is no God. That belief is faith based, because it is also a belief. They belief that the universe in all its beauty and glory happened by chance.

Note the second law of thermodynamics states that if things are left alone, they will reach a state of maximum entropy. This scientific law states that if no work or effort is applied to any system, it will reach a state of maximum disorder.

Funny how on one hand, we have a scientific law which observes that things turn into a mess unless there is some work done to it, yet on the other hand, scientists says this orderly universe came about by pure chance.

Atheists believe there was a Big Bang. Before that, there was nothing. After the Big Bang, the universe came to being.

Read Genesis. In the beginning, there was nothing, just a big void. Then God said, "Let there be..." Then the universe came to be. The Big Bang theory (let me emphesize that it is a theory) does not disprove creation, but supports it.

People who believe in evolution says science has given the order of how the species came to be, from single cell lifeforms, to plants, to creatures of the seas, to land animals, and finally, humans. Funny how this scientific evidence has shown what the Bible has stated all along in Genesis Chapter 1

 

Empty, and lonely and in search for meaning is why those without a personal definition do this sort of thing during the holidays.

If they are miserable and can't or don't want to partake in the joy and cheer, they have to TRY and bring everyone down to their level.

Let GOD sort 'em out...

But, the funniest thing, those with no faith are the one's with the strongest faith that there is nothing greater than them...?
