New rear from ecgs is going to be cheaper than Toyota

    Twas a joke.

Clearly Chad isn't building a run-of-the-mill truck and will get a beefier rear member than what ECGS offers

That argument would have been hilarious
As they have a brand new Tacoma in the showroom with bigger tires than mine

That portion of the argument would just be silly though
As there is a known recall that list all the issues I'm having

Hey if this and this are happening to your truck

Do you feel like you should've waited a bit for all these heavy mods so the "new truck kinks" got worked out first?

    I agree and disagree.
They will claim the angles are different and it contributed to the demise of the rear diff. Your only hope will be a master tech on your side, corporate tech, or simply someone that doesn't have their head up their ass.

    Good luck man!

:gossip: still wanna see it dirty romping in the woods with us, just sayin

I bet even if you got a master tech to side with you though, the corporate guys would just simply say that it voided the warranty. That being said, are you eating the bill completely on this? If so, Im surprised you didn't just go with ECGS as others have suggested instead of giving Toyota funds for some more basic shit.

According to Magnusson-Moss, the stealership must prove that something you did caused the failure of their part, not just could have contributed. You needn't prove anything. This is a well known issue that they have had with this component, regardless of your customization to nearby components. They need to make it right or they can enjoy paying your legal fees. Nothing you've done around the differential is unreasonable use. What do I know, I'm not a lawyer. Good luck sir, keep up the good fight. Another option, take it to a different dealership and see what they say that is out of that network or a competing dealership.

Pretty cool to know...what about though if they say that it has simply voided warranty due to its custom work done?

I feel like I should have sold this thing at the first sign of transmission issues
And gotten a second gen and done all this work to that instead

That's what that act is referring to

They can't void my warranty for a factory part unless they can prove my modifications caused its failure

I have come close a few times to asking why you didn't get a second gen, but figured you had a strong love for the new gen. From the transmission issues alone with the third gen I would be afraid to own one.
