Silverado has a built motor also
i Got it at 85k miles used
    With a ticking motor
Didn’t know enough then and drove it til it went boom

An education is getting really expensive

When the motor in the Silverado blew up
It sat for 8 months until I could save up enough money to fix it
And then I had to ship it down to San Antonio to get the work done.

when the transport company loaded the truck
They left it in neutral and it launched off the back of the trailer
Hit the trailer, a tree, the curb

jacked up the whole bottom of the truck with rock rash but from metal on metal when it hit the trailer
Transportation company stiffed me on insurance
USAA wouldn’t help because they wanted to hold the other party liable

    so
Cost me a fortune to repair
Otherwise the Tacoma would have gotten all my money haha

I didn’t want to clog up the fiberglass thread.

You said your tires only rub at full lock and bump? You pic doesn’t look like it’s tubbed. Just the upper part looks cut out. But I didn’t go back 20 pages to see if you did. Haha

If you didn’t I have no idea how you are clearing the 40’s. My 38’s were almost undrivable on the street prior to cutting.

When you start putting the front back together post pics of what you do with the wheel well and mounts for everything when you dropped the wheel wells. Not everyone does that and other than mine I haven’t seen any good pics of what people did.

solo kit is kicked forward in the wheel well like the JD kit

    but
I did cut out part of the floor welded back the OE panel and then smashed more with a hammer
The biggest issue now is the headlights

Headlights are the biggest problem on the turd gen
No way to move them without moving the core support and hood forward

unless you wanna run a headlight shell with fogs inside like a drift car

I only have little 38’s but I have plenty of room before the headlights. I think even with the JD kit. Thankfully. I don’t really want to run chopped up lights.

That would be sweet. I’m a sucker for almost anything lowered. Nah, scratch that, anything done right looks good slammed. I don’t care what it is.

Now just imagine it that low
But with a shit ton of droop travel
And the tires basically parallel with the hood

That would be sweet. Every time I get more uptravel I try to lower my truck the same amount. I think I’m less than 2” lift now.

    Yeah
    Totally agree
It’s a shame they’re just resting on their old reputation; at least until more people get wise
