UPDATED PICS... Build Thread coming soon!

Whats up everyone! I have been on the site for a little while now, haven't done much but read. This is my second Toyota, but the first one I didn't mod at all. This one I plan on doing some conservative mods too and this site has been great.

I had a 98 in which Toyota bought back from me because of the Frame Recall.... turned out to be a GREAT deal.. Anywho, got my present truck. 2005 Tacoma TRD Sport DBL Cab. Here are pics of it the Day I got it... She looks a little different now, and will even more after next week!

My other toy is in the background... :)

As of right now.. I painted Skid Plate Black, The step Bars are now Black, I did the Black Head light mod, and I did the Foglight Mod. I am in the process of tinting the tails. As you can probably guess, I am blacking out the truck. I think it looks best. Since I purchased the truck, I have a 3" Revtek lift on it as well. Wednesday I am installing the Wheelers AAL it, and Rear 5100's. When that is done, I have some black wheels with Nitto Terra Grapplers going on. Pretty excited!!

Future mods.. Well I have a Kenwood DNX 7100 Head Unit. I want to change all factory speakers and add a 10" for some bass. Then I would like upgraded exhaust, Retro-fit maybe, and other little mods I have learned on here. If anyone is in Ohio and wants to help or assist me.. I will buy the beer!! HAHA!!

Looking forward to some Taco Meets and Runs..

Yea... The STi is my speed car. I used to have a turbo'd built 300hp civic, then I just didn't feel like dealing with the maintenance. So I sold it, got the STi... and I like it how it comes from the facotry.. so I don't have to mess with it. (Although it's very tempting) So I figured I would turn my attention to trucks.. something a little different. I like the EVO's...

Very nice truck. Before I even read your post I looked at the pictures and I thought to myself this truck would look badass blacked out. IMO you are definatly going in the right direction. Maybe you should paint the wheels black to.

I really like the STI. You guys with the Tacos and Evos or STI's are very fortunate. There is so much fun to be had.

Very tru about having both cars.. one for speed, one for mud!

I agree with the black rims.. I ordered some Friday Eagle Alloy 197's in black.. very excited.

yeah i hear ya...i'm leaving my evo stock...most people mod them and they get unreliable and things start breaking....can get very expensive....my idea of fun is the least amount of maintenance possible...lol...i do enough work while i'm at work...don't need to work all the time at home too...i really love my car and my truck...i guess when you don't have a wife and kids you can afford to have both...lol

Nice. I just looked them up. They look sweet. Are you gonna put some pics up of the rims when you get them installed so we can see them and the sidesteps. I'm interested to see what those look like in black.

I know what your saying. The best part about the STi is I get in and go. No worries.. and still have some fun. I would like a mean exhaust sound.. but No Problems what so ever!! I'll take that over exhaust any day!

FOR SURE. As soon as AAL and 5100's are installed, the rims come the next day. Then I am getting an alignment.. and when it's all said and done, Clean up for a nice photo shoot. I am excited to see what the pics look like. I am happy so far on the progress. De-Badged, Black Front Emblem, Black Skid Plate, Black step bars, Only thing I will need for complete black out is to tint my tails... Pretty excited.

Nervous about the AAL install.. never done anything like that.. but shouldn't be bad. I just changed squeaky Serpentine Belt.. only 40k and squeaking... WTF!! After the How-To on this site.. and some help from the Girlfriend.. 30 minute job!!
