    If Toyota had put the 5.7 with a 10 speed in the new Tundra I would have considered it. After a miserable tow with the Taco into a stout headwind I realized I never should have got out of my Tundra. Can't change the past, couldn't find a used one with low enough miles and close enough that wasn't overpriced, and anything priced well was too far away. I couldn't trust the idiot salesmen to get me info/pics when they don't know the difference between an engine cover and a skid plate or a muffler and an exhaust tip (true story), so I bought new. :notsure:

    I don’t mind the 6 speed. Based on recent years of programming from the factory, I’m not sure I want 10 speeds.

    Oh, I was fine with it too. My point was just that to get a new truck with a V8 I couldn't get a Toyota. I am kicking my ass for ever getting rid of the Tundra.
